The upcoming Job Fair is an amazing opportunity to interact with top employers from varying industries. We ask that you please put your best foot forward by preparing before attending the event and leaving a lasting mark after. So what should you do?

1. Review and update your resume and Linked-In. You can learn our P-TECH Resume and Linked-In Best Practices here.

2. Print and bring your resume. Bring copies of your resume to hand to employers you are interested in pursuing.

3. Prepare questions. We will provide a list of the employers attending 1 week before the event. Please research each company you are interested in and prepare thoughtful questions. Some general questions you could ask are, “What do you love most about working at X?”, “What is the best part about your role?”, “What kind of skills or traits does your company look for in a candidate?”, “I’m really interested in X role. Where is the best place I can apply?”, “ What is the best way to connect/follow up with you?”.

4. Prepare your elevator pitch. For example, “Hi I’m Jane and I graduated form P-TECH in May, 2021 with my Associates in Web Development. Since graduating from Falcon-Tech, I’ve been wanting to explore my passions for technology. I saw you were recruiting for [position] and would love to find out more."

5. Follow up. Interested in pursuing a job with an employer? We will provide a list of the employers contact information for you to follow-up with.
